The Rare, Fast and Furious Attract Thousands to Canada’s Largest Classic Car Auction
The Rare, Fast and Furious Attract Thousands to Canada’s Largest Classic Car Auction
BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) October 6, 2006
Increasing numbers of collector car enthusiasts are expected to bid on hundreds of rare classics, fast sports cars and furious muscle machines at RM’s Toronto International Classic Car Auction at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario on October 20, 21 and 22, 2006.
The popularity of classic car events like RM’s Toronto auction and related television shows over the last few years have brought more enthusiasts into the collector car game, fueling the demand and driving prices north. Over the last five years, Ontario based RM Auctions has seen a 25-30 percent annual increase in attendance at its North American auction events. This percentage of growth is also shared by RM’s award winning restoration division who has seen an increased demand for restoration services from domestic and international clients over the same period.
“The market for collector cars continues to intensify and an auction like the Toronto event, is a great way to learn about cars, so one can make an informed and educated buying, or selling, decision”, says RM’s Dan Spendick, a 30 year veteran of the collector car business. “At our auction you will find car specialists, club members, mechanics, restorers and auction staff who are more than happy to share their knowledge and help you with your education,” adds Spendick.
The three-day sale will see nearly 400 cars cross the block, many offered without reserve. Highlighting the roster is a rare 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Cabriolet, one of only 350 built that year. The Zephyr, with a V12 engine was purchased and completely restored by the famous Eaton Car Collection.
Other distinguished collector cars to be spotlighted include:
· Customized 1969 Dodge Hemi Charger rated at 650 HP
· Rare, hand built 1937 Cord 812 Supercharged Phaeton
· Sporty 1955 Porsche 356 Coupe stored for 25 years
· Famous 1963 Corvette Coupe only year for split-window
· 1962 Chevy Biscayne 409 from Florida car museum
The Toronto International Classic Car Auction begins with a public preview beginning at 12:00 noon on Friday October 20. The auction follows the preview on Friday, October 20th at 3:00pm until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Sunday, October 22 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Celebrating nearly 30 years in the collector car industry, RM Auctions Inc. and its sister companies are responsible for acquiring, restoring and selling the world’s rarest and most expensive vintage automobiles. Renown for setting international records, RM has recently established offices in the U.K. to provide services for clients in Europe and Asia. In 2006, RM Restorations won the unprecedented “triple crown” for receiving “Best of Show” honors for the world’s top three international collector car events – the Pebble Beach, Amelia Island and Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance. Enjoy Fresh Air and Fuel Savings: The Clean Breeze Truck Screen? Essential New Pick-up Truck Accessory
Enjoy Fresh Air and Fuel Savings: The Clean Breeze Truck Screen® Essential New Pick-up Truck Accessory
Chillicothe, MO (PRWEB) June 30, 2008 -
The Clean Breeze Truck Screen® provides an inventive solution to an age-old pick-up truck problem: How to let fresh air in without all the debris and insects the air carries in? The Clean Breeze Truck Screen® means truck owners can keep the rear window wide open. And with fuel prices reaching record levels, the Clean Breeze® means drivers can save money by cutting down on the use of the air conditioner.
“The Clean Breeze Truck Screen® provides an excellent solution for a problem plaguing all pick-up truck drivers. How do you travel with the rear window open without trash piling up through the open window,” said Steven Davis, inventor and spokesperson for Clean Breeze Truck Screen®. “Even better, drivers who use the screen won’t use as much fuel because they don’t need the air conditioner as much.”
Road rubbish quickly accumulates in a pick-up truck with an open rear slider window. It’s messy, cluttering a cab with leaves and trash, making the truck look unsightly and sometimes damaging expensive components, like high-end audio equipment or GPS systems. The Clean Breeze Truck Screen® “Let The Clean Breeze In and Keep Everything Else Out!”
Made of “Paw Proof” Nylon Coated Fiberglass mesh Screen ultrasonic welded in a stylish and sturdy 16 x 15 inch frame, the Clean Breeze® has a sharp, original equipment look. Available in basic black or a variety of eye-catching designs, the screen is also customizable to display corporate logos. The company has partnered with “Bill Jordon’s REAL TREE®” to offer Real Tree® patterns and designs intended for outdoor enthusiasts. It installs quickly and easily using 3M quality products, which are included in each kit and best of all No Tools Required just Prep, Peel & Press on.
Join Awareness LLC with the Clean Breeze Truck Screen® team at the 2008 Specialty Equipment Marketing Association show. Visit with the makers of the pick-up truck product in booth 39160 this November in Las Vegas. “We’re excited to show off our screen solution and meet current and potential partners again at this year’s SEMA show,” Davis said.
Only $ 59.99 and available on-line at http://www.cleanbreezeusa.com or at retailers across the US, including JC Whitney, ASAP Inc; Stylin Trucks, and Chux Trux, get your Clean Breeze Truck Screen® and Keep Everything out but the Clean Breeze.

Specialist Car Insurance Company Widens its Product Range For Young Drivers and Lady Driver Covers
Specialist Car Insurance Company Widens its Product Range For Young Drivers and Lady Driver Covers
London, UK (PRWEB) August 3, 2009
Online UK specialist car insurance comparison website Car-Insurance.tv (http://www.car-insurance.tv) has announced the addition of fifteen new products and schemes to its specialist car insurance comparison panel, to cater specifically for various driver types. These include specialist policies specifically designed for young drivers, lady drivers and senior drivers.
Car-Insurance.tv Marketing Director Dave Healey said, “Our specialist insurance comparison system, is the largest in the UK and is particularly focused on making large premium savings for owners of specialist cars such as sports cars, performance cars and classic cars. We are particularly good at finding you the cheapest cover by your car type with our car insurance schemes.”
“However analysis of the website usage statistics has revealed to us that we were missing out on a large part of the market. The addition of the new products means more importantly, that we can now satisfy the buying intentions of more of our customers, which include some large niche segments of the UK car insurance buying population.”
He added “Take for example our classic car insurance schemes. We already offered comprehensive, whole of the market policies to young drivers over the age of twenty three. The new products allow us to offer classic car insurance to drivers as young as twenty one which is important as many cheaper cars favoured by this age group, are now eligible for classic cover.”
“Lady and Women drivers are also set to benefit from the introduction of the new schemes.”
Mr Healey stated. “It has long been known within the insurance industry that women drivers present a better risk than their male counterparts. We identified that many of our more expensive performance car and sports car insurance policyholders were women. In order to offer these female customers the range of benefits that are available across the market we have incorporated many specialist car insurance schemes that are designed exclusively for women drivers.”
More information is available at http://www.car-insurance.tv/ladydrivercarinsurance.html.
Car-Insurance.tv hope that the wider range of products available will help them continue to sponsor local community events up and down the country.
Mr Healey said, “The company has helped support many community based projects this year, and hopes that this will continue despite the downturn in business.”
This weekend coming we are sponsoring a charity football match in Newquay Cornwall between three times European Champions Cup winners Liverpool Legends and a celebrity select XI from Arsenal Soccer Schools.
The event takes place at Newquay AFC football club on Sunday 9th of August and includes entry to meet the Liverpool Legends players and see the legendary welsh pranksters Dirty Sanchez perform live.
Tickets can be purchased and further details of the event can be found at the soccer school website http://www.arsenalsoccerschool.co.uk.
